The National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2021 directed the Small Business Administration (SBA) to create a Governmentwide certification program for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses. Effective January 1, 2023, SBA assumed responsibility for certifying Veteran-Owned small firms. If you have questions, please contact SBA at vetcert@sba.gov. 1st Quarterly Office of Construction and Facilities Management One-on-One Meetings

In response to the Veteran-Owned Small Business and Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business community\'s request to have business networking dialogue with a senior leader in the Department of Veterans Affairs Office of Acquisition, Logistics, and Construction (OALC), the Department made available a series of quarterly events with Ms. Andrea Morris, Acting Associate Executive Director, Office of Facilities Acquisition, Office of Construction and Facilities Management for the Department of Veterans Affairs. The first event will take place on February 18, 2020, hosted at the Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization Business Engagement Center, located at 801 I Street NW, Washington, DC 20001.

The cost is free to attend. One representative per firm will be permitted to attend this event.

This event is comprised of (13) 20-minute one-on-one meetings during which Ms. Morris can answer OALC-related questions. Once your registration is confirmed to attend the scheduled meeting, you will need to provide no more than three (3) questions you intend to ask her. Providing your questions in advance enables research to be conducted (as applicable). Once your registration is confirmed, email the three (3) questions by Monday, February 10, 2020, to directaccess@va.gov. In the subject line of your email annotate the following: Questions for Ms. Andrea Morris; 18 Feb BEC Event. Space is limited; only 13 firms can register for each event.
