The virtual industry day will highlight opportunities for Veteran-Owned small businesses, and other small and disadvantaged businesses that seek to do business with the Office of Mission Support (OMS). Participants will learn about the program office’s mission and priorities, and understand the requirements, best practices, and expectations of doing business with the organization. Attendees will also have an opportunity to attend networking break-out sessions with OMS acquisition leaders.

The VBA Office of Mission Support, The Acquisition Directorate, supports VBA’s strategic goals for delivery of Veterans benefits through a nationwide of acquisition professionals who ensure quality and compliant procurements of supply and service requirements in a timely and cost-effective manner. We are part of the Office of Mission Support’s efforts to provide the support, tools, and resources to ensure VBA can build, sustain, and improve our capability to serve our Nation’s Veterans.

Ashley started her VA career in 2009 at the Cincinnati VAMC as an Administrative Assistant. Ashley entered the VA supply chain/logistics community as a Technical Career Field (TCF) Intern in September 2015 and graduated from the program in August 2017.  She has also held various positions within the Supply Chain, including Chief of Materiel Management. Ashley worked in the VHA Procurement and Logistics Office as a Project Manager.  Ashley currently works in the Office of Procurement, Acquisition, and Logistics (OPAL) department in the Category Management Support Office (CMSO) as a Portfolio Manager, overseeing the Departments’ Information Technology category. Ashley also leads the Pathfinder program, an award-winning program which assists vendors in doing business with VA. Ashley is an alumnus of Willington College, where she received a bachelor’s in Business Administration. She also has a Certified Administrative Professional (CAP) Certificate from Cincinnati State Technical and Community College. Ashley also holds professional certifications including Federal Acquisition Certification for Program and Project Manager (Mid-Level), Contracting Officer Representative (Level II), Defense Acquisition University (DAU) Category Management Certification, and is a certified Prosci Change Practitioner. Ashley’s awards include the AFCEA Bethesda Chapter Award for Emerging Leaders in Innovation 2023 for her work on the Pathfinder program for the Department of Veterans Affairs.Ashley truly cherishes the opportunity to continuously improve and provide maximum value to our Veterans.
