The National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2021 directed the Small Business Administration (SBA) to create a Governmentwide certification program for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses. This session will build on the analysis demonstrated in previous "Data Mining" workshops, using contract data from USASpending or SAM.gov, https://www.youtube.com/c/VAOSDBU. SOC Director Anna Urman will continue building on showing participants how to interpret and analyze spreadsheets of Federal spending to make business decisions. You'll learn how to define top agencies, competitors, and partners and understand what contract types and set-asides have been used by your target agencies in recent procurements. This session will be a hands-on demonstration of spreadsheet functions, including pivot tables and some basic formulas.
